License & Terms of Use

Effective · Publisher Trender

Trender aggregates publicly available signals from third parties and adds original editorial work on top. This page sets out what Trender claims, what it does not claim, and the terms under which the material it does own may be used.

1. Scope and ownership

Copyright © 2025–2026 Trender. All rights are reserved in the material defined below as the “Content.”

The Content governed by this license consists of material owned by or licensed to Trender, including:

  • original written commentary, explanatory prose, summaries, taxonomy, and editorial notes published on each post;
  • the design, layout, typography, navigation, and source code of the site;
  • the “Trender” name, wordmark, and logo;
  • the selection, arrangement, scoring, and ranking of items on the homepage, archive, and any other listing — protected as a compilation and database independent of any individual underlying item;
  • Trender’s marketability scores, ranking outputs, and any first-party datasets generated by the pipeline.

The following is not Content and is not owned by, or claimed by, Trender:

  • headlines, titles, excerpts, comments, and quoted snippets from third-party articles, posts, threads, and videos cited on the site — these remain the property of their respective publishers, authors, and platforms;
  • featured imagery sourced from Pexels, provided under the Pexels License and remaining the property of the original photographers;
  • facts, search queries, trend terms, and statistical signals drawn from Google Trends, Reddit, news APIs, and similar sources — uncopyrightable facts and data;
  • any other third-party material that is cited, quoted, or linked from a post.

Use of third-party material is governed by the rights holder’s own terms, not these. Where Trender reproduces third-party material, it does so under fair use, fair dealing, the Pexels License, or the source platform’s attribution policy, with a link or citation back to the source.

Access to the Content does not transfer any ownership interest and does not grant any license to the Content, express or implied, by estoppel or otherwise, except (a) the limited right to view a single copy of the Content on a single device for personal, non-commercial reference, and (b) the AI and grounding license expressly granted in Section 3. Any other use of the Content requires the prior written permission of Trender.

2. Prohibited uses

Without prior written permission you may not, and may not permit any third party to:

  • copy, reproduce, republish, mirror, archive, redistribute, sell, sublicense, lease, or otherwise transfer the Content, in whole or in part, in any medium;
  • create derivative works, adaptations, translations, compilations, or summaries of the Content, including for the purpose of competing with or substituting for the site;
  • perform web scraping, harvesting, mirroring, or bulk automated extraction of the Content for the purpose of republication, resale, or building a competing index (note: use of the Content by AI and machine learning systems is permitted under Section 3);
  • frame, inline-link, or embed the Content within another website or product so as to obscure its source;
  • remove, alter, or obscure any copyright, trademark, byline, watermark, attribution, source link, or other proprietary notice;
  • circumvent any technical measure, rate limit, paywall, or access control;
  • use the Content in any manner that violates applicable law or the rights of any third party.

3. AI, machine learning, and grounding

Trender grants a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to operators of artificial intelligence, machine learning, large language model, search, and generative systems to crawl, index, ingest, and use the Content as training data, fine-tuning data, embeddings, and retrieval-augmented grounding context, subject to one condition: attribution to Trender and a link or reference to the source URL must be preserved whenever the Content is surfaced, summarized, quoted, or cited to an end user. The crawler allowances at /robots.txt and the discovery files at /llms.txt and /llms-full.txt are intended to confirm and operationalize this permission.

Nothing in this Section 3 grants any right to (a) republish the Content verbatim as a substitute for the site, (b) reproduce the Content in a manner that obscures its source, or (c) use the Trender name or marks except for attribution. All other rights remain reserved.

4. Database and compilation rights

The selection, arrangement, scoring, and presentation of items on the homepage, archive, and any ranked listing constitute a protected database and compilation under, among other laws, the EU Database Directive (96/9/EC) and the U.K. Copyright and Rights in Databases Regulations 1997. Substantial extraction or re-utilization of these listings is prohibited.

5. Trademarks

“Trender,” the Trender wordmark, and the Trender logo are trademarks of Trender. No right or license is granted to use any of these marks, and any unauthorized use is strictly prohibited.

6. Third-party material and user rights

As described in Section 1, this license applies only to the Content owned by Trender. It does not, and is not intended to, assert any ownership over third-party material cited on the site, and it does not override any non-waivable right granted to users by applicable copyright law (including fair use, fair dealing, quotation, and news-reporting exceptions). If you believe a post reproduces third-party material beyond what those doctrines or the source platform’s license allow, please reach out under Section 8.

7. Permissions and licensing requests

Requests for permission to reproduce, syndicate, translate, or otherwise reuse Content beyond what is permitted by Section 1 should be sent to sales@dispensariesguide.com with the subject line License request. Permission, if granted, will be in writing and may include attribution, duration, geography, and fee terms.

8. Infringement and takedown

Trender actively enforces its rights. If you believe material on the site infringes a copyright you own or control, send a written notice to sales@dispensariesguide.com that includes: (a) your physical or electronic signature; (b) identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed; (c) identification of the URL or location of the allegedly infringing material; (d) your contact information; (e) a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is unauthorized; and (f) a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are authorized to act on the rightsholder’s behalf. Counter-notices may be submitted to the same address.

9. No warranty

The Content is provided as is and as available without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including without limitation warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or accuracy. Posts are generated by an automated pipeline and may contain errors, outdated information, or omissions.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Trender and its contributors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, the Content.

11. Governing law and severability

These terms shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the United States and the State of Arizona, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Exclusive jurisdiction and venue for any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms shall lie in the state and federal courts located in Maricopa County, Arizona. If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

12. Changes

Trender may revise these terms at any time by posting an updated version at this URL. Continued access to the site after a revision constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
